2 • Battle for Survival

The person in the photo is Muhammad Khaskheli. He is 65 years old and lives in the village of Jhampir, Pakistan. The thing he was photographing was the coal for which he risked his life. Khaskheli has been working in the coal mine for 3 years. You may ask yourself why a person at this age would start working in a coal mine by doing other work until this age. Khaskeli has spent his entire life fishing in Keenjhar Lake. However, the lack of fish and drought caused by irregular fishing also caused Khaskeli to be unemployed. In other words, he was forced to work in the mine at the age of 65.
